Halim Shah - Fraudster Extraordinaire - Part 3

Oh, Shannon. Where do we begin? He seems to live a life of deceit to pay for his lofty, playboy-like lifestyle. From a flying instructor, to a consultant, to a herbalogist, and now as a traditional medical practitioner? Who is he trying to impress? The truth is, Shannon is trying hard to buy his way into the high society through questionable use of titles such as Dato, Dato Sri, Professor and Doctor. According to Ketua Penyelia Setiausaha Protokol Pahang and Pahang State Government's database, there is no such thing of Shannon receiving a "Datukship", contrary to what he had previously claimed to be.

"Doctor Halim Shah" claims to have graduated from among others; Berkeley, Harvard Medical School, Kentsbridge University and the Boston University School of Medicine. But please, don’t be fooled. None of these universities offer his supposed specialisations such as pain management, Chinese medicine, acupuncture, as well as homeopathy and naturapathic medicine. If Shannon had really completed his medical qualifications in the US, how come there is no existing record on Shannon found on the registration list of the American Medical Association?

Oh, guess what? His “relief centre”, fancily named as PJ Relief Centre Sdn Bhd, is not recognized by the Malaysian Medical Council or the Federation of Chinese Physicians and Acupuncturists Associations Malaysia. He even had the guts to label his massage parlours, called O3 Medi Wellness and Spa, as an “anti-ageing, aesthetic and regenerative medicine” centre. It is uncertain how Shannon was approved to be a practitioner as he is not medically qualified to even apply to be one. One thing for sure, the public is at risk of having Shannon "playing doctor" in the open.

Believe it or not, Shannon has actually used this persona to convince others of his credibility. In October 2021, a police report was filed on Shannon for misrepresentating of his ability to import Sinovac vaccines into Malaysia. An affected person has lost up to RM23 million as a result of this scam. This was not his first attempt of scamming individuals for money, as he had previously also been investigated by the police for cheating, money laundering, blackmailing and harassing various individuals throughout the past decade.

It is puzzling how a man of fraudulent conduct like Shannon is still free, living among the public. One thing for sure, he will not stop and would do anything it takes to sell his concocted image. Heck, he had even changed his name and religion -- in the hope of making himself believable to his next victim.
